Scheduled Maintenance - April 28th

Desire2Learn will be undergoing a version upgrade in the evening of April 28th and will be offline for a period of a few hours. The maintenance window begins at 10pm on April 28th and is expected to take approximately 8 hours, with service estimated to be restored around 6am the following morning (April 29th). Students and instructors are encouraged to download needed course files in advance, and to plan assignment submissions so that they do not conflict with this period of unavailability. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact eLearning Support.

We'd like to welcome all students and faculty back for the beginning of the 2014 school year!

If you are new to Desire2Learn, you can find instructions for logging into the system here.

If you encounter any problems while using Desire2Learn, please refer to the eLearning Support Online Form for assistance. We have recently added FAQs to this page aimed at students and instructors, which cover the most common problems we see reported and our suggestions for resolving them. For example, the FAQ may be of some assistance if you are:

  • Unable to log in
  • Missing one or more courses in D2L
  • Unable to locate your course's content

If you do not see your problem listed in the FAQ, you can use the form to report your problem to us as normal, and we will endeavor to resolve it as quickly as possible. However, please note that due to the large volume of support tickets we receive at the start of each semester, it may at times take longer than our normal 48-hour response time goal to resolve the problem you are experiencing.

Google Chrome & Safari Login Bug

Google Chrome users may find that the login screen hangs on "Authenticating..." after they click the Login button. We are working to resolve this bug, but as a temporary workaround, we recommend that any Chrome or Safari users encountering this problem switch to Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari until the bug is eliminated.

Course Mail "Reply" Glitch [RESOLVED]

Users may receive an error when attempting to reply to messages they received on or before Thursday, August 15th. If this occurs, please compose a new message instead of a reply; this should bypass the error.

Outline Widget Issues [RESOLVED]

The Course Outline widget within live Spring 2013 courses is not currently working. We recommend that instructors manually upload a course outline into their courses until the widget is repaired.

Login Issues [RESOLVED]

We are currently experiencing a problem with D2L logins; some users can log in, while others receive an error message. We are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Weekend Maintenance (Apr 26-29) [RESOLVED]

The D2L server will be unavailable beginning Friday, April 26th, and will return on Monday, April 29th, in order to connect Conestoga's course creation and login systems to Desire2Learn.
